This paper deals with a smooth multiresolution method for improving the accuracy order in solving second order elliptic partial differential equations on general bivariate domains. The authors obtain the existence and uniqueness of the solution corresponding to the discrete problem and the interior error estimate. Numerical experiments are also performed to support the theoretical findings.
