A satisfactory well-posedness theory for the Navier-Stokes equations was obtained only when the initial data are ``small'' enough or verify some special geometric properties. In this paper, the authors proved that if the initial data are small in a particular weighted \(L^p\) functional space, then the solution of the Navier-Stokes equations is regular in a set close enough to the half space \(\{ t > 0 \}\), where \(t\) is the time. This is an important improvement of the result given in [\textit{L. Caffarelli} et al., Commun. Pure Appl. Math. 35, 771--831 (1982; Zbl 0509.35067)]. The main used tools are some interpolation inequalities (see Lemma 2.3), the time-decay estimates for convolution with the heat and Oseen kernels, the ``caloric'' definition of Bessov spaces, some estimates for singular integrals in mixed radial -- angular norms (given in [\textit{A. Córdoba}, Adv. Math. 290, 208--235 (2016; Zbl 1343.42011)]), and the Marcinkiewickz interploation theorem.
