Let \(G\) be a locally compact abelian group and let \(p\) and \(q\) be real numbers that satisfy \(1<p<\infty\) and \(1\leq q\leq\infty\). Denote by \(L(p,q)(G)\) the Lorentz spaces and write \(\mathrm{Hom}_{L^1(G)} (L(p,q)(G))\) for the space of all module homomorphisms of the \(L^1(G)\)-module \(L(p,q)(G)\). The authors distinguish a subset \(L^t(p,q)(G)\) of \(L(p,q)(G)\) and endow it with a Banach algebra norm. The functions in \(L^t(p,q)(G)\) are known as \(pq\)-temperate functions. The space \(L^t(p,q)(G)\) is sometimes called a group \(L(p,q)(G)\)-algebra. The functions in \(L^t(p,q)(G)\) are used to define a Banach algebra of bounded linear operators, which is denoted by \(\Lambda\), on \(L(p,q)(G)\). Let \(M(\Lambda, \Lambda)\) be the space of multipliers on \(\Lambda\). The main result of the paper under review is: The space \(M(\Lambda, \Lambda)\) is isometrically isomorphic to \(\mathrm{Hom}_{L^1(G)} (L(p,q)(G))\). In the last section of the paper the space of multipliers on \(L^t(p,q)(G)\) is investigated.
