The author introduces two new versions of moduli of curve families. An important ingredient are hyperbolic fillings; roughly speaking these are graphs encoding the corresponding metric spaces. In the hyperbolic plane, one can think of a graph with Whitney cubes as vertices that are connected if the cubes intersect. The author associates two moduli to these hyperbolic fillings. The main results show that the new moduli are comparable to the old ones in quite a general setting and that both moduli are quasi-invariant under quasi-symmetric homeomorphisms. After introducing some notation, the author details the construction of hyperbolic fillings. He gives the proofs of the main results. To a modulus, one can associate a dimension. The author gives sufficient conditions on a metric measure space such that this dimension equals the Ahlfors regular conformal dimension of the space.
