Let \(X\) be a quasicompact scheme. The main result of this paper is to give an algebraic construction of \(\lambda\)-operations on all the algebraic \(K\)- groups \(K_n(X)\) for \(n\geq 0\). This is achieved by defining exterior operations in a purely algebraic setup, then extending the constructions to a proper definition of operations \(\lambda^r_n:K_n(X)\to K_n(X)\) for all \(n>0\) and \(r>0\).
