The authors use the classical sinc method to numerically compute the eigenvalues of the Sturm-Liouville eigenvalue problem when the eigenvalue parameter appears in the boundary conditions. Indeed, they approximate the eigenvalues of the differential equation \[ y''(x,\mu)+q(x)y(x,\mu)=\mu^{2}y(x,\mu), \quad x \in [0,1] \] with the boundary conditions \[ y(0,\mu)-\mu^{2}[ay'(0,\mu)-by'(1,\mu)]=0, \] \[ y(1,\mu)-\mu^{2}[\overline{b}y'(0,\mu)-cy'(1,\mu)]=0, \] where \(q\) is a real-valued function that belongs to \(L^{1}[0,1]\) and the constants \(a,c \in \mathbb{R}\), \(b \in \mathbb{C}\) satisfy \(ac-b\overline{b}>0\). The error analysis is established by taking into account both truncation and amplitude errors. The numerical tests are provided.
