In this interesting paper the author first formulates the mixed boundary value problem for the biharmonic equation in a strip and reduces it to a system of dual integral equations. Next, he solves these equations using the Fourier transform with increasing symbols in appropriate Sobolev spaces. Further, he presents a method reducing the system of dual integral equations to a system of Cauchy singular equations. Finally, he attempts to reduce the last system of integral equations to an infinite system of linear algebraic equations. The paper contains 19 references.
