The paper is devoted to regulous maps of real algebraic varieties into spheres. More precisely, let \(X\) be a real algebraic set. Recall that a stratification \(\mathcal{S}\) of \(X\) is a finite collection of pairwise disjoint Zariski locally closed subvarieties whose union is equal to \(X.\) A map \(f : X \to Y\) of real algebraic varieties is said to be regulous if it is continuous and if there exists a stratification \(\mathcal{S}\) of \(X\) such that the restriction of \(f\) on \(S\) is a regular map for every \(S \in \mathcal{S}.\) Under the assumption that the set \(X\) is compact, the author of the present paper shows that the set of all regulous maps from \(X\) to the unit sphere \(\mathbb{S}^p\) with \(p := \dim X\) is dense in the space \(\mathcal{C}(X, \mathbb{S}^p)\) of all continuous maps endowed with the compact-open topology. This strengthens a result of \textit{W. Kucharz} [J. Eur. Math. Soc. (JEMS) 16, No. 8, 1555--1569 (2014; Zbl 1314.14105)] by removing the nonsingularity assumption on the \(X.\)
