The author writes on past work done on the problem of inverse mean curvature flow in Euclidean spaces and hyperbolic spaces over the real, complex, and quaternionic numbers. The author begins with some background by stating the main properties of these hyperbolic spaces and defining the (Riemannian) metric and curvature objects on these spaces. The author then discusses past results for the Yamabe problem (existence of metrics with constant scalar curvature within a conformal class) on Euclidean space and these hyperbolic spaces. The author concludes by discussing what is known about how hypersurfaces in Euclidean space and hyperbolic spaces evolve when expanding at a rate inversely proportional to the mean curvature.
