Let \(G\), \(G'\) be two groups under Howe's reductive dual pair correspondence of \(Sp(W)\) with \(G'\) of lower rank, and consider the preimages \(\tilde{G}\), \(\tilde{G'}\) of these groups under the double cover \(\tilde{Sp}(W)\). Then there is a bijection between some admissible representations \(\Pi\) of \(\tilde{G}\) and \(\Pi'\) of \(\tilde{G'}\). In [Invent. Math. 141, No. 2, 299--363 (2000; Zbl 0953.22014)], \textit{T. Przebinda} defined the `Cauchy Harish-Chandra integral', and conjectured that the (global) character formula of \(\Pi\) can be obtained from that of \(\Pi'\) by using the integral. The main result of this manuscript is to prove a conjecture for type I dual pairs in the stable range. Using this result, Przebinda also obtains a correspondence between the wavefront set/associated varieties between \(\Pi\) and \(\Pi'\).
