The authors deal with the initial-boundary value problem for the system expressing the magneto-thermoelastic interactions in a tn electrically conducting Mindlin-Timoshenko plate. The mechanical unknowns are the transverse displacement \(\tilde{w}\) and the two dimensional vector \((\psi,\phi)\) of shear angles. The scalar function \(\theta\) is the temperature variation and the vector function \((h^1,h^2,\tilde{h}^3)\) represents the magnetic field permeating the plate. Although no mechanical damping acts on the system, its total energy is decreasing with the dissipation effected by both the temperature variation function and the magnetic field. Using the multipliers method the strong polynomial stability of the model is verified.
