The paper under review deals with several geometrical configurations that are reminiscent of ``classical'' projective geometry. There are many results contained in the paper, all of them are related to Desargues configuration in a certain way. After providing an extensive background to the results, the authors study involutionary Desargues pairs and conics. The notion of an involutorial Desargues pair (ID) is introduced and it is shown that, given an ID pair based on 6 points, then these points lie on a non-degenerate conic. Extra properties, related to the characteristic being 2 or not are given, as well as a converse to this theorem. In the third chapter, the authors study Desargues configurations and their polarities. If \(D\) is a Desargues configuration obtained from a pair of triangles in perspective in \(\mathrm{PG}(2,F)\), then the number of possible self-conjugate points in \(D\) is determined, which depends on the characteristic of \(F\). Finally, in the last chapter, the authors show the following: Let \(X\), \(Y\) be two \(n\)-gons inscribed in a conic and in perspective from two centers \(V_1,V_2\). Assume that \(n\) is odd. Then, there exist at least \(q\) collinear centers of perspectivity mapping \(X\) to \(Y\) where \(q\) is the smallest prime dividing \(n\). This theorem is an extension of a classical theorem for inscribed triangles (\(n=3\)).
