Using the Toeplitz approach, in a number of papers, the author has obtained complete solutions of some old open problems in analysis. The goal of the present paper ``is to develop and systematize the function theoretic component of the Toeplitz approach by introducing a partial order on the set of inner functions induced by the action of Toeplitz operators. We study connections of the new order with some of the classical problems and known results. We discuss remaining problems and possible directions for further research.'' A quote from the final part of paper: ``Recent developments in the Toeplitz approach to Uncertainty Principle have raised a large number of new questions. One of the main goals of this paper was to outline some of such questions and bring them to the attention of the experts in complex function theory.'' The author presents ``only a small sample of questions from the area of the Toeplitz approach, and the interested reader will be able to find many more challenging problems in other sources, including those cited in this note.''
