    Summary: The aim of this paper is to study the dynamical behavior of positive solutions for a system of rational difference equations of the following form: \(u_{n + 1} = \alpha u_{n - 1} / \left(\beta + \gamma v_{n - 2}^p\right)\), \(v_{n + 1} = \alpha_1 v_{n - 1} / \left(\beta_1 + \gamma_1 u_{n - 2}^p\right)\), \(n = 0,1, \ldots\), where the parameters \(\alpha\), \(\beta\), \(\gamma\), \(\alpha_1\), \(\beta_1\), \(\gamma_1\), \(p\) and the initial values \(u_{- i}\), \(v_{- i}\) for \(i = 0,1, 2\) are positive real numbers.
