The authors consider the three-dimensional barotropic compressible Navier-Stokes equations. Under the assumptions that the initial density is away from vacuum and the Hölder norm of the density is bounded for any time t, the authors prove the convergence of the solutions to its associated equilibrium with decay rate which is same as that for solution of heat equation. And the global stability is proved for smooth solutions. Finally, a class of global solution with arbitrary large vertical component of the incompressible part of the velocity is constructed with initial date in \(L^p\) type critical spaces and away from equilibrium. These results improved known related one.
