A contravariant pseudo-Hessian manifold is a manifold \(M\) endowed with a flat connection \(\nabla\) and a symmetric bivector field \(h\) satisfying a contravariant Codazzi equation. These manifolds generalize pseudo-Hessian manifolds, which are defined as affine manifolds \((M,\nabla)\) with a pseudo-Riemannian metric \(g\) satisfying the Codazzi equation. The paper is devoted to the study of contravariant pseudo-Hessian manifolds. In particular, the authors study the Poisson structure of the tangent bundle of a contravariant pseudo-Hessian manifold, linear and affine pseudo-Hessian structures, quadratic contravariant pseudo-Hessian structures and right invariant pseudo-Hessian structures on Lie groups.
