Let \(X\) be a smooth connected projective curve of genus \(g\geq2\), let \(L\) be a line bundle over \(X\) of degree \(l>2g\). Denote by \(\mathcal{H}iggs(L)\) the moduli stack of rank 2 Higgs bundles twisted by \(L\) over \(X\), which contains the stack \(\mathcal{H}iggs(L)_{ss}\) of semistable objects as an open substack. Let \(\mathcal{H}iggs(L)_{reg}\) be the open substack of \(\mathcal{H}iggs(L)\) that consists of Higgs bundles corresponding to line bundles over its spectral curve \(C\subseteq T^*X\), namely \(\mathcal{H}iggs(L)\) corresponds to the Jacobian of \(C\). Let \(H\) be the Hitchin base. In this paper, the author shows that there exists a Poincaré sheaf over \(\mathcal{H}iggs(L)\times_H\mathcal{H}iggs(L)_{ss}\) which is a maximal Cohen-Macaulay sheaf. Moreover, the author also shows this sheaf is a unique extension of the Poincaré sheaf over \(\mathcal{H}iggs(L)_{reg}\times_H\mathcal{H}iggs(L)_{ss}\), and it is flat over \(\mathcal{H}iggs(L)_{ss}\), but not flat over \(\mathcal{H}iggs(L)\). The author also discusses the motivation of the construction (of Poincaré sheaf) and its relationship with the geometric Langlands program in the Appendix.
