Unirational differential curves and differential rational parametrizations (Q2229734): Difference between revisions

Concerning to rational algebraic curves there are many computational questions that have been addressed by several authors. Some of these problems are, for instance, the conversion problems (i.e. parametrization, impliciatization, inversion, etc), the optimality problems (injectivity, surjectivity, ground field analysis, etc). In the case of differential curves, one may state similarly most of these questions, and, already, some initial answers were given. In this nice paper, the authors present a detailed study for the case of unirational differential curves. Properties on birational differential rational pametrizations are presented. In addition, the implicitation problem is approached by means of differential resultants. Moreover, the unirationality, and furher parametization if it is the case, is also solved. In addition, it is also remarkable the potential applicability of these results to the so called algebro-geometric approach to compute solutions of algebraic differential equations.
