The authors generalize the classical Lojasiewicz inequality \(|g(x)|^{\alpha} \geq c|h(x)|\) for \(x\) in a compact set \(K\subset \mathbb{R}^m\), where \(h, g: K \to \mathbb{R}\) are continuous semi-algebraic functions such that the zero set of \(g\) is contained in the zero set of \(h\), to a class of polynomials on non-compact sets. Let \((g, h): \mathbb{R}^n\to \mathbb{R}^2\) be a non-degenerate at infinity polynomial mapping. Assume \(g\) is convenient and \(g^{-1}(0) \subset h^{-1}(0)\). Then there exist constants \(c> 0, \alpha >0,\) and \(\beta >0\) such that \[ |g(x)|^{\alpha} +|g(x)|^{\beta} \geq c|h(x)|, \mbox{ for all } x\in\mathbb{R}^n.\]
