In the paper, a degree of approximation is obtained for functions from the space \(H^{\omega}_p\) by the even-type delayed arithmetic mean of their Fourier series. The result complements the corresponding estimates by \textit{L. Leindler} [Stud. Sci. Math. Hung. 14, 431--439 (1979; Zbl 0443.41016)], \textit{V. Totik} [Acta Math. Acad. Sci. Hung. 35, 151--172 (1980; Zbl 0454.42001); J. Indian Math. Soc., New Ser. 45, 85--108 (1981; Zbl 0501.42001)], \textit{S. M. Mazhar} [Analysis 11, No. 2--3, 149--154 (1991; Zbl 0747.42002)], \textit{S. M. Mazhar} and \textit{V. Totik} [J. Approx. Theory 60, No. 2, 174--182 (1990; Zbl 0741.42001)] for functions from the space \(H^{\omega}\). The space \(H^{\omega}_p\) is more general, it appears in the paper by \textit{L. Nayak} et al. [Int. J. Anal. 2014, Article ID 171675, 7 p. (2014; Zbl 1390.42009)] where the authors estimate the rate of convergence of the Fourier series in the generalized Hölder metric by delayed arithmetic mean.
