The authors prove a property of the higher-order generalized Studniarski epiderivative which leads to noticing that two conditions in a theorem from [\textit{N. Le H. Anh}, Positivity 22, No. 5, 1371--1385 (2018; Zbl 1403.49010)] are incompatible. A correction of that result is provided together with an illustrative example.
