Abundance of observable Lyapunov irregular sets (Q2124218): Difference between revisions

The authors present some new examples of surface diffeomorphisms (in \(\mathrm{Diff}^r\) with \({2\leq r<\infty}\)) whose Lyapunov irregular set has positive Lebesgue measure. The construction is based on the Colli-Vargas diffeomorphism [\textit{E. Colli} and \textit{E. Vargas}, Ergodic Theory Dyn. Syst. 21, No. 6, 1657--1681 (2001; Zbl 1080.37059)].
