Nonstandard Hamiltonian systems are systems possessing invariant tori with distinct numbers of action-angle variables. In this paper the persistence of elliptic invariant tori in nearly integrable nonstandard Hamiltonians is studied. It is shown that, under some diophantine and non-degenaracy conditions on the tangential and the normal frequencies, for a Cantor set of values of the actions, the elliptic tori of the unperturbed system persist for sufficiently small perturbations.
