The inverse problem for the sideways heat conduction equation in the quarter of the spatial-time plane is considered. This type of inverse problem arises in different fields of practice when it is necessary to determine the surface temperature from a measured temperature history at a fixed location inside of the body and is called the inverse problem for sideways heat conduction equation. For a solution of the considered inverse problem the Meyer wavelet regularization procedure is suggested and an error estimate between the exact and the approximate solutions in the logarithmic form is given.
