It is proved that the Schwartz space \({\mathcal B}({\mathbb{R}}^ n)\) endowed with the strict topology defined by P. Dierolf and S. Dierolf is topologically isomorphic to the sequence space s\({\hat \otimes}_{\pi}(\ell_{\infty},\mu (\ell_{\infty},\ell_ 1))\). This proves a conjecture of \textit{P.} and \textit{S. Dierolf} [Pac. J. Math. 108, 51-82 (1983; Zbl 0465.46012)].
