    Eine Gruppe \(G\) heiße regulär realisierbar über einem Körper \(k\), falls \(G\) die Galoisgruppe einer regulären Erweiterung \(N/k(X)\) ist, wobei ``regulär'' bedeutet, daß \(k\) in \(N\) relativ algebraisch abgeschlossen ist. Folgender Satz wird bewiesen. Jeder endlichen Gruppe \(G\) mit trivialem Zentrum und jeder ganzen Zahl \(r\geq 3\) ist in kanonischer Weise eine über \(\mathbb Q\) definierte Varietät \(H(r,G)\) zugeordnet mit der Eigenschaft, daß \(H(r,G)\) genau dann einen \(\mathbb Q\)-rationalen Punkt hat, wenn \(G\) als Galoisgruppe einer regulären Erweiterung von \(\mathbb Q(X)\) mit \(r\) Verzweigungstellen realisierbar ist. Etliche wichtige Folgerungen werden hergeleitet. Über einem PAC-Körper der Charakteristik 0 kann jede endliche Gruppe regulär realisiert werden. Insbesondere ist jede endliche Gruppe als Galoisgruppe über einem Hilbertschen PAC-Körper der Charakteristik 0 realisierbar. Ferner ist jede endliche Gruppe über dem endlichen Körper \(\mathbb F_ p\) für alle hinreichend große Primzahlen \(p\) regulär realisierbar.
