The authors identify the Schwartz space \({\mathcal S}({\mathbb R}^n)\) with a subspace \(M({\mathbb R}^{2n})\) of \(C^{\infty}({\mathbb R}^{2n})\) consisting of functions periodic in the first group of variables and skew-periodic in the second group of variables via the map \[ \Lambda:f(x)\mapsto \sum_{u\in {\mathbb Z}^n}f(v+u)e^{2\pi i (u,t)}. \] Then the paper focuses on the study of pseudodifferential operators (PDOs) on \(M({\mathbb R}^{2n})\) defined in terms of PDOs acting on the Schwartz class.
