This paper is concerned with the stability of a numerical algorithm for computing the current induced on the surface of a perfectly conducting, straight, thin wire by an incident time-dependent electromagnetic field. A Fourier stability analysis has been carried out using the exact kernel formulation; a sufficient condition for stability, under suitable hypotheses, has been presented which is shown to be satisfied in the limit as the spatial and temporal mesh sizes tend to zero.
