    The extrapolation method for vector sequences is studied here in order to give a unified presentation and a new recursive algorithm for the implementation of the modified minimal polynomial extrapolation method. The applications of these methods for solving systems of nonlinear equations and a sufficient condition for quadratic convergence is given, too.
