The article is centered on construction of particular kinds of \(\alpha\)-dimensional Cantor trInd-manifolds for non-limit ordinals \(\alpha\); a compact space \(X\) is an \(\alpha\)-dimensional Cantor trInd-manifold if \(\text{trInd }X=\alpha\) and no closed subset \(F\) of \(X\) satisfying \(\text{trInd }F< \alpha-1\) separates \(X\). The following theorem is stated and proved: For each non-limit countable infinite ordinal \(\alpha\) there exists an \(\alpha\)-dimensional metrizable Cantor trInd-manifold \(X(\alpha)\) which is a disjoint union of countably many Euclidean cubes and the irrationals. The author goes on to announce related results that will appear elsewhere.
