Introducing \textit{A. J. Ward's} notion of subnet [Proc. Camb. Philos. Soc. 61, 877-878 (1965; Zbl 0129.37703)] into fuzzy sets, the author obtains a satisfactory relation between a fuzzy net and the fuzzy net based on the pre-filter generated by it.
