A ring \(R\) is right max if every nonzero right \(R\)-module has a maxial submodule. In [ibid. 39, No. 1, 201-214 (1995; Zbl 0840.16002)] the author stated several open problems regarding right max rings. Recently, \textit{W. Xue} [Preprint, Fujian Norm. Univ. (1998)] answered two of these in the affirmative. He also appended several typos in [loc. cit.], which we list here for the convenience of the readers of Publications Mathemàtiques.
