A monotone including nonlinear multigrid method is presented. With regard to the numerical solution of quasilinear partial differential equations some of the existing results are improved and generalized. It is shown that the monotone enclosure of the multigrid method follows from the monotone enclosure of the smoother. The results are confirmed by examples of realistic problems.
