The singularities of the equations governing the dynamics of steady axisymmetric annular liquid membranes subject to gravity are analyzed by means of two different formulations based on the membrane mean radius and mass per unit length, and on the axial and radial velocity components, respectively. In addition, the author gives a detailed analytical study of the asymptotic equations for capillary annular liquid membranes in dependence on the difference between the pressure of the gas enclosed by the membrane and the gas surrounding the membrane.
