Let K be the class of finite groups in the variety generated by a finite group G. For \(D,E\in K\) let (E,D) denote the set of subalgebras of E isomorphic to D. Let \(A,B\in K\) and r be a natural number. The class K is said to be (A,r)-Ramsey for B if there exists a \(C\in K\) such that for any partition of (C,A) into r classes there exists a member \(\tilde B\) of (C,B) such that \((\tilde B,A)\) is contained in one of the classes. It is proved that if G has non-abelian p-Sylow subgroups then K is not \((C_ p,r)\)-Ramsey \((r\geq 2)\). Some positive results for varieties with elementary abelian Sylow subgroups are proved.
