The paper shows the existence of bifurcating fronts for the weakly unstable Taylor-Couette problem in an infinite cylinder. These fronts connect a stationary bifurcating pattern with the trivial ground state. By carefully tracing the eigenvalue evolution and applying center manifold and normal form theory the authors are able to get rid of the infinitely many eigenvalues along the imaginary axis for vanishing bifurcation parameter and reduce the problem to a 4-dimensional bifurcation equation on the center manifold.
