The authors consider a question raised and partially answered in \textit{J. C. Diaz } and \textit{S. Dineen} [Ark. Mat. 36, 87-96 (1998; Zbl 0929.46036)]: If the Banach spaces \(X\) and \(Y\) have isomorphic dual spaces, does this imply that the corresponding spaces of homogeneous continuous polynomials \(P(^nX)\) and \(P(^nY)\) are isomorphic for every \(n \geq 1\)? Two partial answers are given, which generalize the answer given in the mentioned paper. If, in addition, \(X\) is regular (i.e., any bounded linear operator from \(X\) into \(X'\) is weakly compact) or \(X\) and \(Y\) are stable spaces (i.e., the spaces are isomorphic to their squares, respectively) then the answer is positive. In the first case, the corresponding spaces of holomorphic functions of bounded type are isomorphic Fréchet algebras. The main tools used in this paper are R. Aron's and P. Berner's extension to extend a multilinear mapping on \(X^n\) to a multilinear mapping on \({X''}^n\) and the Nicodemi operators to define a covariant functorial map between \(L(^nY)\) into \(L(^nX)\) for a given \(\Phi \in L(X;Y)\).
