In [\textit{H. Noguchi}, Kōdai Math. Sem. Rep. 1953, 20-22 (1953; Zbl 0052.188)] the concept of an absolute \(\varepsilon\)-retract in the class of all metric compacta is defined. The author proved in [Math. Notes 38, 562-563 (1985); translation from Mat. Zametki 38, No. 1, 89-91 (1985; Zbl 0595.54002)] that the equation \(\varepsilon-\text{AR} \cap \text{ANR} = \text{AR}\) is valid (here \(\varepsilon\)-AR in the set of all absolute \(\varepsilon\)-retracts). In the present paper a generalization of that statement is given.
