The author studies the following predator-prey system \[ \dot x= xg(x)-yp(x),\qquad \dot y=y(q(x)-\gamma). \] Using ideas of Cheng and Liou he gives a sufficient condition for the uniqueness of the limit cycle, which is more general than their condition. That is, the author includes a kind of weight function in the condition. It was motivated by a result due to Hwang, where the prey isocline plays the role of weight function. Moreover, he shows that the interval where the condition from Hwang's result is to be fulfilled can be narrowed.
