For the computation of one-dimensional patterns in the Belousov- Zhabotinsky reaction a numerical method is presented for the system of one-space-dimensional parabolic equations. The Oregonator model of the reaction is assumed. The concentrations of the three intermediate species are expressed as truncated Fourier series. Examples are given when the obtained pattern is not unique. For small- amplitude solutions (linearized case) sufficient conditions are given for stability with respect to small disturbances. For large-amplitude solutions a conception of quasi-stability is introduced. Numerical results are discussed.
