The author deals with the Camassa-Holm (CH) equation: \(u_t= 2f_xu+ fu_x\), \(u= \frac 12 f_{xx}-2f\). He presents an analog of the Segal-Wilson map for the CH equation. Let us recall that the Segal-Wilson map associates with each element of a loop group a solution of KdV. As an application the author presents 2-soliton solutions of the CH equation, as well as some novel singular solutions.
