The author presents an elegant exact solution to the problem of unsteady laminar flow of viscous incompressible fluid in a straight duct whose cross-section is an equilateral triangle. The flow is driven by an imposed time-dependent pressure gradient. The method of solution uses symmetry properties of this special duct cross-section.
