After giving a variational characterization of closed geodesics on a locally closed p-convex set in a Hilbert space and deriving homotopical properties of the space of the admissible paths the author proves that there exists a non-constant closed geodesic on any compact p-convex connected and non-contractible in itself subset of \({\mathbb{R}}^ n\).
