The authors review a method for constructing completely integrable classical and quantum Hamiltonian systems from representations of coalgebras with Casimir elements proposed by them and applied to quantum Calogero-Gaudin systems and their \(q\)-deformations [\textit{F. Musso} and \textit{O. Ragnisco}, J. Math. Phys. 41, 7386-7401 (2000; Zbl 0972.81072)]. They expose some open problems and outline some generalizations of the method.
