The authors deal with the Liénard type system \[ \dot x= h(y)- F(x),\quad \dot y= -g(x),\tag{1} \] where \(F\), \(g\), \(h\) are continuous functions satisfying the property of uniqueness for the solutions to (1) and with \(h(\pm\infty)= \pm\infty\), \(h'(y)\geq 0\), \(\limsup_{x\to\infty} F(x)>-\infty\), \(\liminf_{x\to-\infty} F(x)<+\infty\). The authors present a necessary and sufficient condition for solutions to (1) starting from a point in a bounded domain to be oscillatory.
