An inclusion of a self-consistent sources to a soliton dynamics which deforms isospectrally the potential of an operator \(L\) results in adding to the equation some terms quadratic in eigenfunctions of \(L\). The authors consider the case of the sin-Gordon equation with self-consistent sources given by eigenfunctions corresponding to multiple eigenvalues and describe the corresponding dynamics of the spectral data of the operator \(L\). This allows to apply the inverse scattering method for solving the initial equation.
