The paper deals with the behavior of the solution of the semistate model for a large class of nonlinear time-variable systems via Lyapunov's approach using quadratic form aggregate functions. The direct method of Lyapunov seems to be an appropriate mathematical tool for such an investigation and is employed in the paper. The mathematics used in the paper permits dealing with rectangular matrices. Extensions of known results presented in the literature are developed for various properties of solutions. Simple sufficient algebraic criteria are given which are tightly connected with tests that ensure appropriate properties of solution. The paper is well organized and written and highly suggested to those involved in the corresponding area of interest.
