The author proposes an approach to quantitative analysis of the contact of two smooth regular surfaces. The approach is based on a notion of the indicatrix of conformity of a surface to another one which measures difference of their corresponding radii of normal curvature and, thus, is similar to Dupin's indicatrix. Test examples are given which show that the approach may be useful for practical applications.
