This paper continues the development begun in J. Math. Anal. Appl. 90, 563-581 (1982; Zbl 0504.54005)]. Here the authors construct a completion of a fuzzy uniform space which satisfies the fuzzy analogues of many properties of the completion of a uniform space. One important exception, however, is noted: the completion of a complete fuzzy uniform space need not be isomorphic to the space itself. To remedy this situation, the authors declare a fuzzy uniform space to be ultracomplete if and only if the minimal hyper Cauchy prefilters coincide with the fuzzy neighbourhood prefilters, and they show that (1) ultracompleteness is a good extension of completeness in the topological case, (2) the completion of a fuzzy uniform space is ultracomplete, and (3) the completion of an ultracomplete fuzzy uniform space is isomorphic to the space itself. The relationship between ultracompleteness and ultracompactness is also developed.
