    Für lineare parabolische Anfangsrandwert-Probleme in 2 Raumvariablen wird eine Gebietszerlegungs-Methode entwickelt, bei der auf eine genügend gute Überlappung der Teilgebiete geachtet wird. In diesem Falle können die Teilprobleme mit homogenen Dirichlet-Randdaten behandelt werden. Dies hat zur Folge, daß die Elemente der inversen Diskretisierungsmatrizen weit außerhalb der Hauptdiagonalen sehr klein werden. Für diese Elemente werden Abschätzungen angegeben. Da sich hieraus eine nur geringe Kommunikation zwischen den Teilsystemen ergibt, ist die Methode für Parallel-Rechner sehr gut geeignet.
